Seville is known for its ‘Tapas’

Like other Andalusian destinations, Seville too, is known for its tapas. “Tapa” is available in many restaurants or bars. There are many great tapas places located around the base of the cathedral in the center of town. Some of the most preferred tapas include tortilla española, pulpo gallego, aceitunas, patatas bravas, and queso manchego. You can also try the ham when you visit any bar of Seville. Some bars like Pedalquivir and El Faro de Triana, offer some great view as well as good quality of food.

If you’re vegetarian, you need to mention that you eat no fish or tuna or any kind of flesh. Some great places where you can enjoy good selection of vegetarian foods and tapas are Habanita, La Manzanilla, Taberna Coloniales and many others. You can also enjoy some nice homemade desserts, too.

Seville is city which spells magic. In Seville, you can visit the largest Cathedral of Spain, and walk splendidly on the floors made by the Romans. Seville still displays with great finesse the Roman and Muslim past in the city’s art and architecture. The Moors’ Giralda Tower plays the role as the bell tower for the Cathedral and base of it is the foundation of Roman blocks.

Tourists can also visit some of the most beautiful gardens in Seville like the Reales Alcázares and Patio de Los Naranjos. Seville province’s wetland areas are crowded with abundant wildlife and significant variety of bird species such as flamingos. Tourists can make visit to various natural reserves like Lantejuela Natural Reserve, Lebrija-Las Cabezas Natural Reserve, Utrera Natural Reserve, and Laguna del Gosque Natural Reserve. In Seville, tourists can also explore some natural monuments like Cascadas de Huesna Natural Monument, Cerro del Hierro Natural Monument, Chaparro de la Vega Natural Monument and Tajos de Mogrejo Natural Monument.

Seville is the capital of Andalusia and one of the wonderful tourist destinations to visit in Spain. It is located on the plains of the Guadalquivir River. Seville has several reasons to visit. It was under the influence of the Phoenicians, Carthaginians and Romans and two of the emperors, Trajan and Hadrian were born in this place. The legendary Don Juan, started her mission from Seville. Columbus, too, started its voyage from a port close to Seville. Seville had been an important port during the Romans and it still maintains to be the artistic, cultural and financial capital of Southern Spain.

Andalusia was once occupied by the Moors who had lived in this area for more than 800 years. And, when you visit the city, you can find their footprints in historical buildings. The heart of Seville is Andalusian in nature and you can enjoy bull-fighting and Flamenco music when you visit the city. Some of the famous tourist attractions that lure visitors are the City’s Cathedral and its famous bell-tower, Giralda, the Alcázar, the Torre del Oro, Parque Maria Luisa and La Isla Magica.

You can also enjoy few “tapas”, those typical “small spanish dishes”, and a glass of Sherry wine while exploring the city. Sevilla is a great city to visit.
