Seville is the capital of Andalusia and one of the wonderful tourist destinations to visit in Spain. It is located on the plains of the Guadalquivir River. Seville has several reasons to visit. It was under the influence of the Phoenicians, Carthaginians and Romans and two of the emperors, Trajan and Hadrian were born in this place. The legendary Don Juan, started her mission from Seville. Columbus, too, started its voyage from a port close to Seville. Seville had been an important port during the Romans and it still maintains to be the artistic, cultural and financial capital of Southern Spain.

Andalusia was once occupied by the Moors who had lived in this area for more than 800 years. And, when you visit the city, you can find their footprints in historical buildings. The heart of Seville is Andalusian in nature and you can enjoy bull-fighting and Flamenco music when you visit the city. Some of the famous tourist attractions that lure visitors are the City’s Cathedral and its famous bell-tower, Giralda, the Alcázar, the Torre del Oro, Parque Maria Luisa and La Isla Magica.

You can also enjoy few “tapas”, those typical “small spanish dishes”, and a glass of Sherry wine while exploring the city. Sevilla is a great city to visit.
